We Couldn't Do It Without You

CMP works with nonprofits, like schools, social services agencies and community groups, helping their staff prevent the burnout that often comes with helping the most vulnerable in our communities. We also offer free and open community based programs both online and in-person in local libraries and community spaces.  In short, CMP empowers people to lead healthier lives by expanding access to mindful meditation.

Fairfield County's Community Foundation Wellness Book Club

Join Fairfield County’s Community Foundation and Community Mindfulness Project for a Mindfulness-Based Book Club

Dr. Amishi Jha was a meditation skeptic until she saw images that showed a brain in a negative mood and a brain in a positive mood.  It was the early 2000s and when she asked how to get the negative brain to look like the positive brain Richard Davidson, the researcher showing the images, answered, “Meditation".  Since then, she’s been studying meditation and its effects on people’s attention and health.  Peak Mind is a fun, fast read that describes her journey through this research, what she’s learned, and how to apply it in very accessible ways.

Join FCCF and Community Mindfulness Project as we explore the book and its pledge to help you “Find your focus and own your attention by investing just 12 minutes a day”.
