Imani Farley

Imani Farley is a mother, advocate, and mission-driven social impact strategist with over a decade of experience in community-centered grantmaking, program design, capacity building, and championing equity in partnership with US and global communities. Her work as a philanthropist and changemaker has been centered on intergenerational social change. She is passionate about the transformative power of equitable collaborative partnerships between communities, philanthropic institutions, and businesses.

Imani has successfully created, scaled, and implemented several initiatives that have expanded opportunities for marginalized communities to access education, training, jobs and public health resources. She is an experienced fundraiser and researcher who has worked with several global corporations, foundations, and nonprofit organizations - constantly striving to positively influence communities and shift systems of power. She is a thought leader in work that occurs at the nexus of social impact, community building, inclusion, and equity.

Currently, Imani serves as Director of Client Success, leading client engagements in Skill's First work within the non-profit organization The OneTen Coalition. She supports the mission by utilizing her expertise in social impact, workforce development, and inclusion to serve talent and design operational plans to improve business results and advance strategic goals for clients. Before OneTen, Imani founded and served as the Principal Consultant for her firm, Imani Impact, Inc. She was previously Director of Social Impact for Nike Inc. and Vice President at JPMorgan Chase. At Chase, her team scaled the first-ever initiative centering on young men of color, recruiting, and training empowered mentors, designing study abroad programming, and engaging community partners across the US. At Nike, she developed strategies that expanded opportunities for sports based non-profit organizations led by women.

Imani earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from The George Washington University and Executive Certifications from the University of Pennsylvania, and The University of South Florida Muma College of Business. Imani is a certified instructor in Hatha yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathwork).

Outside of her professional work, Imani is deeply involved in volunteer and service leadership, serving on the boards of the Ruben Holloway Scholarship Foundation and the Kevin Lee Bass Scholarship Fund. On the weekends, you can find Imani designing community wellness programming, engaging in self-care, tending to her garden, archiving history, making art, and hiking. Imani has traveled to several countries to work alongside women leadership in villages to serve youth and deploy resources to communities. She is driven by a passion for making a tangible difference in people's lives and leaving the world a better place for children like her young daughter Maluhia.
