Meditation refers to a mental practice that allows us to develop healthy habits of mind or heart. Mindfulness practices are one form of meditation. They help us to have a more focused, stable mind, so that we can have better clarity, more space for creativity, and a more regulated nervous system. We can use sounds, our breath, or sensations in the body to help us connect with the present moment. In addition to mindfulness practices, there are other meditation practices that help us feel connected and supported.
