This Is How My Day Is Going to Go Today

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

I didn’t get that parking spot at the supermarket today, and had to park one lane over and three slots further back.  "I guess that’s just how my day is going to go today."  Or is it?  I drove to the market in a car with gas and inflated tires, with up-to-date registration, and even insurance.  I remember, now that I think about it, that the woman who took the photo for my driver’s license, was so kind and understanding as I tried to put on just the right smile.  In the end, her smile brought mine to life.  And now I find myself smiling at the memory, and sending a silent message of gratitude through the ether in the hopes that somehow it reaches her.  So I guess this is how my day is going to go today.  I’m not beholden to invisible forces to set the tone for my lived experience.  I can choose to attend to the goodness in my life and have a more accurate ledger of abundance.

We hope you will join us this week as we attend to and rest in awareness of the goodness in our lives.
