Session 5: Safe in this Moment

Our brains have evolved to be great threat detectors. As the saying goes, "We are the descendants of our most anxious ancestors." Paying attention to sensations in the body can help us balance future-oriented fretting with current-moment reality. More often than not, when we connect with our physical experience, we realize we are "safe enough in this moment", and our nervous system can breathe a sigh of relief.
