Meditation is easier when you're not doing it alone.
Maybe you've wanted a consistent practice for a while now, you just haven't had anyone to be consistent with.
Maybe you've started before and stopped, more than once, and the idea of starting again feels like setting yourself up to fail one more time.
Or maybe you already meditate, alone, on an app, and it mostly works because it ‘should’, but something's still missing: a person, a group, a moment where someone else is breathing at the same pace as you.
But mindfulness was never about ‘should’.
You don't have to have it figured out to be here. You don't need the right cushion, the right app, or any prior experience. You just need a willingness to show up for a few minutes, and people who'll notice if you don't.
We can't promise meditation will fix everything. But we can promise you won't be doing it by yourself: real people, in real time, holding the space while you find out what a daily practice offers (or re-introduces to) you.
Because in the end, we shouldn't meditate. We get to choose to. And when you choose to, we'll be here every morning, and so will everyone else in the room.
Looking for the accountability to support your mental health and nervous system?
Join us for “Good Morning, Autumn” as we wake up to the new season, together with a free, live introduction to mindfulness.
All are welcome, no prior experience is necessary.
Early Mornings | Sept 14 - Oct 4
Mon-Fri, 7-730am | Saturdays, 8-9am | Sundays, 9-10am
What to Expect
Each 30 Minute Session includes:
A guided meditation, led step by step (nothing to figure out on your own)
Short, plain-language conversations and insights about what's happening in the practice and why
Conversation & insights grounded in research and lived experience
Moments of private and shared reflections
Small-group or full-group discussion
Practical tools you can use immediately
No prior meditation experience is required. If you've never done this before, if you’re looking to pick up a long lost habit, or if you’re looking to meditate regularly with a group, you're exactly who this is for.
Who this course is for
This free course is open to all and is especially supportive for:
If you've wanted a consistent practice but keep losing momentum — a live group, same time every day, gives you the accountability a solo habit never quite does.
If you've fallen off the wagon before — this is a no-guilt way back in. No streak to protect, just today's session.
If you meditate on an app but something's missing — trade the solo screen time for a real group, live, with people who show up alongside you.
If you're brand new to meditation— someone who's curious but has never tried it, or tried once and wasn't sure what to do.
If you're running on empty— a parent, caregiver, frontline worker, or anyone juggling a lot, looking for a few minutes that are just yours.
If you're going through a hard stretch— grief, stress, a big transition, or just a season that feels heavier than usual.
If you just want to start your day differently— with a little more calm and a little less autopilot.
Whoever you are, you don't need to know anything about mindfulness or mindful meditation to be here. You just need to show up.
Benefits can include:
Less: Panic, Reactivity, Burnout, Stress, Loneliness, Depression & Anxiety, Exhaustion, Neglect, Implicit Bias, Autopilot
More: Resilience, Patience, Steadiness, Ease, Connection, Awareness, Choice, Care, Acceptance, Mindful Eating
Who We Are
Community Mindfulness Project is a nonprofit based in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We believe that tools for calm, focus, and emotional well-being shouldn't be a luxury, they should be available to everyone, regardless of what neighborhood you live in, what you can afford or your religious beliefs.
For years, we've brought free and low-cost mindfulness programming into schools, community centers, and nonprofits across Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, and more meeting people where they already are rather than asking them to come find us.
This series is an extension of that same mission, opened up to anyone, anywhere, who wants a real, supported way to begin. No jargon, no pressure to sit a certain way or think a certain thing. Just a simple daily practice, led by people who do this work because they've seen what it can change.

Whether you're starting for the first time, starting over, or ready to trade your app for actual company, we'll be there every morning.
Through consistent daily practice and supportive community, you’ll cultivate the steadiness and clarity needed to meet your days with intention, grounded, open, and ready for what’s ahead.
Note: it is not required that you attend daily, but we hope you’ll join as often as possible.
