Privacy Policy

Community Mindfulness Project (CMP) respects the privacy of our website visitors. This policy outlines your privacy protections while on CMP’s website.

Personal Information

CMP collects and stores personal information (name, mailing address, phone, email address) from site visitors only if you voluntarily choose to allow us to do so by for example completing an online form or donation. Your personal information is used to only contact you if requested, such as in the case of e-newsletters or other communications. We do not sell, rent, or transmit personal information to other organizations or third parties. You may remove your name from our email or mailing list at any time.

CMP considers the individual information we maintain to be confidential, therefore we will not disclose any personal information to third parties unless its release is required by law or is pertinent to judicial proceedings. We will put forth our best efforts to implement this privacy policy; however, we cannot guarantee that information we seek to protect will be protected under all circumstances, including those beyond our control.

Non-Personal information

During your visit to our website, CMP will collect and store non-personal information (such as and not limited to the Internet protocol address and the associated name of the specific network attached to the Internet) from which you accessed the Internet, the date and time you accessed the site, the Internet address of the website from which you linked, the web-browser utilized and the pages you viewed while visiting the CMP site.

Cookies

CMP occasionally uses “cookies” – parcels of text sent by a server to your web browser and then sent back unchanged each time your browser accesses that server – for authenticating, tracking and maintaining specific information about users, such as site preferences. You may elect to configure your browser to accept or reject cookies or to notify you when you enter a website that utilizes cookie technology. If you choose to configure your browser to reject cookies, you may not have access to some or all of the features of our website.

Emails & Electronic Newsletters

Periodically, CMP sends emails and electronic newsletters to our opt-in lists to keep supporters informed of news and events related to our mission. To receive these updates you must provide CMP with contact details including your name, street address and/or email address. This information will be held in confidence, and CMP will NOT sell, rent, trade or otherwise reveal this information to a third party. You are given the option to remove your name from our email list within each email and electronic newsletter update.

Links to Other Websites

CMP’s website contains some links to other websites. We will make every effort to ensure that such links are to sites that share our high content and privacy standards; however, we cannot be responsible for the content or privacy practices of these other sites.

Privacy Policy is Subject to Change

CMP reserves the right to change this policy at any time to keep up with changing laws, regulations and trends. CMP encourages you to occasionally review this privacy policy.
