Focused mind, opened heart

CMP = COMMUNITY + MINDFULNESS + PROJECT

CMP is a non-profit that offers secular group meditation sessions in libraries, wellness centers and other community hubs. Our weekly sessions are free and open to the public, are appropriate for long-time practitioners as well as first-timers, and are accessible to people of all faith traditions and none, all physical abilities and ages.

Discussion and peer-to-peer learning are at the core of CMP's approach and we encourage regular practice to fully access the benefits of mindfulness.

We focus on practices that have a scientific basis and seek to bring the highest standards of ethics, scholarship and depth of practice to our organization. Numerous recent studies strongly support the benefits of daily meditation (for as little as eight minutes!), which include improved emotional regulation, focus, resilience, compassion, and mental and physical health.

We also offer one-day retreats and engage in outreach activities in the communities we serve.
